Sahih InternationalAnd present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it -

TransliterationIth arsalna ilayhimu ithnaynifakaththaboohuma faAAazzazna bithalithinfaqaloo inna ilaykum mursaloon
Sahih InternationalWhen We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."
Tamil NEWநாம் அவர்களிடம் தூதர்கள் இருவரை அனுப்பியபோது, அவ்விருவரையும் அவர்கள் பொய்யாக்கினார்கள்; ஆகவே (அவர்களை) மூன்றாவது தூதரைக் கொண்டு வலுப்படுத்தினோம்; ஆகவே, "நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்ட தூதர்கள் ஆவோம்" என்று அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள்.

TransliterationQaloo ma antum illabasharun mithluna wama anzala arrahmanumin shay-in in antum illa takthiboon
Sahih InternationalThey said, "You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies."
Tamil NEW(அதற்கு அம்மக்கள்;) "நீங்களும் எங்களைப் போன்ற மனிதர்களேயன்றி வேறல்லர்; அர்ரஹ்மான் (உங்களுக்கு) எதனையும் இறக்கி வைக்கவில்லை. நீங்கள் பொய்யே கூறுகிறீர்களேயன்றி வேறில்லை" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

Sahih InternationalAnd we are not responsible except for clear notification."
Tamil NEW"இன்னும், எங்கள் கடமை (இறைவனின் தூதுச் செய்தியை) விளக்கமாக எடுத்துச் சொல்வதைத் தவிர வேறில்லை" (என்றும் கூறினார்).

TransliterationQaloo inna tatayyarnabikum la-in lam tantahoo lanarjumannakum walayamassannakum minnaAAathabun aleem
Sahih InternationalThey said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment."
Tamil NEW(அதற்கு அம்மக்கள்;) கூறினார்கள்; "நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களைத் துர்ச்சகுனமாகவே கருதுகின்றோம்; நீங்கள் (இதிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால் உங்களைத் திட்டமாகக் கல்லாலடிப்போம்; மேலும் எம்மிடமிருந்து உங்களை நோவினை செய்யும் வேதனையும் பிடித்துக் கொள்ளும்."

TransliterationQaloo ta-irukum maAAakum a-in thukkirtumbal antum qawmun musrifoon
Sahih InternationalThey said, "Your omen is with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people."
Tamil NEWஅ(தற்கு தூதனுப்பப்பட்ட)வர்கள் கூறினார்கள்; "உங்கள் துர்ச்சகுனம் உங்களிடத்தில் தான் இருக்கின்றது உங்களுக்கு நற்போதனை செய்வதையா (துர்ச்சகுனமாகக் கருதுகிறீர்கள்?) அப்படியல்ல! நீங்கள் வரம்பு மீறிய சமூகத்தாராகவே இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

TransliterationWajaa min aqsa almadeenatirajulun yasAAa qala ya qawmi ittabiAAooalmursaleen
Sahih InternationalAnd there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers.

Sahih InternationalFollow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided.

Sahih InternationalAnd why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?

TransliterationAattakhithu min doonihi alihatanin yuridni arrahmanu bidurrin la tughniAAannee shafaAAatuhum shay-an wala yunqithoon
Sahih InternationalShould I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me?
Tamil NEW"அவனையன்றி வேறு நாயனை நான் எடுத்துக் கொள்வேனா? அர்ரஹ்மான் எனக்கு ஏதேனும் கெடுதியைக் கொண்டு நாடினால், இவற்றின் சிபாரிசு ஒரு பயனும் எனக்கு அளிக்காது. இவை என்னை விடுவிக்கவும் முடியா.

Sahih InternationalIt was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people could know

Sahih InternationalOf how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."
Tamil NEW"என்னுடைய இறைவன் எனக்கு மன்னிப்பளித்து, கண்ணியமானவர்களில் நின்றும் அவன் என்னை ஆக்கிவிட்டான்" (என்பதை).

TransliterationWama anzalna AAalaqawmihi min baAAdihi min jundin mina assama-i wamakunna munzileen
Sahih InternationalAnd We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the heaven, nor would We have done so.
Tamil NEWதவிர, நாம் அவருக்குப் பின்னால் அவருடைய சமூகத்தார் மீது வானத்திலிருந்து எந்த சேனையையும் (அவர்களை அழிப்பதற்காக) இறக்கிவைக்கவில்லை அப்படி இறக்கி வைப்பவராகவும் நாம் இல்லை.

Sahih InternationalIt was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.

TransliterationYa hasratan AAalaalAAibadi ma ya/teehim min rasoolin illa kanoobihi yastahzi-oon
Sahih InternationalHow regretful for the servants. There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to ridicule him.
Tamil NEWஅந்தோ! அடியார்கள் மீது கைசேதமே! அவர்களிடம் எந்தத்தூதர் வந்தாலும், அவரை அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் செய்யாதிருந்ததில்லை.

Sahih InternationalHave they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?

Sahih InternationalAnd indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.
